Citizens United to Remove Barriers (C.U.R.B.) is a local, non-profit organization that helps the physically challenged a chance to live a life free of barriers. Volunteers install wheelchair ramps and lifts in and around the homes of those in need.

The 8th Annual C.U.R.B. Bike Ride (not race) is kicking off this year at St. Ignatius Martyr Church. The bike ride is approximately 12 miles long and this year for the first time e...ver, there will be FULL police assistance in keeping the ride safe.

The ride is a tour of Long Beach via bicycle. The Canals, the West End, and of course the spectacular boardwalk are all points of this 12 mile route.

The 8th Annual C.U.R.B. Bike Ride will end at the Long Beach Recreation Center, where there will be complimentary hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, soda and water for all participants.

So break out that mountain bike, cruiser or unicycle, and get ready for LONG BEACH'S ONE AND ONLY BIKING EVENT.
