Operation Splash & Sludge Stoppers will host The Reynolds Channel Clean up on Saturday May 21st from 9-11am at the Long Beach boat ramp. It is an Operation Splash, Sludge Stoppers, Green Fest event. Volunteers need to be at the ramp at 8:30am. This is the first time a group of environmentalists will travel to our waterways to clean up the marsh lands across from the channel and bring back debris to our shores for cleanup. Thank you to both organizations for doing this. One of The Green Project of Long Islands mission is to educate people on the ongoing cleanup and conservation of our waterways and to prevent further dumping of chemicals and untreated waste into our channel. The group will then proceed to Greenfest (Kennedy Plaza)where they will have a booth for everyone to sign up for the contiuing effort of keeping the channel clean.
