This just in from The SurfRider Foundation....
Unless you have been living under a rock you know that Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant has been discharging sewage into Reynold's Channel.
It is polluting our bays and ocean.
MEETING:
Where: Long Beach Library
When: January 12th
Time: 7PM-9PM
Although the County Executive's office is claiming that it is treated sewage, eyewitnesses will tell you otherwise (and even if it was treated, the large amounts of Nitrogen- which can't be removed- would do a fantastic job of killing all living things in the vicinity.)
Please come to the meeting and find out how you can help. WE ALL NEED TO DO THIS TOGETHER.
Here's a petition for you to sign before the meeting:

Surfrider Members- this is our BP! Inaction will not only destroy the wildlife, but will also close the beaches.
See you there!
