Now hear this...The Green Project of Long Island is now a 501(3)c non profit organization.
We are so proud of our accomplishments in the past year. Just to recap and gloat a bit, the year has been filled with many successful events. In August of 2009, we launched the Green Seminar programs for civic organizations, community groups and the realtor community. With the assistance of a team of 12 panelists, who gave of their time and energy, many people grew to understand Green more. As the success of the Green Seminars grew, The Green Project of Long Island then divided its educational seminars into four categories of understanding Green. They are Environmental, Ecology, Home Living and Healthy Eating.
We formed partnerships with LIPA, National Grid, Empower Solar, LI Green, GreenStreetLI, IAQ, TP Exterminators, Mortgage Enterprises, Wells Fargo, Blackstone Mortgage, Melaleuca, Shaklee, Wow Green, The Long Beach Farmers Market, The Long Beach Breast Cancer Coalition, Verdeschi Realty, IMI Software, Beaver Bat, Greenworks, Costellos Ace Hardware Stores, 1-800-Got-Junk?, Bank of America, Lowes, Built Well Solar, and all the many organizations who support The Green Project of Long Island.
The Green Project of Long Island will launch its very first GREENFEST in the city of Long Beach on Saturday, October 16, 2010. For more details: Visit our website: TheGreenProjectofLongIsland.org.
Thank you to all who support, believe and understand our mission. We intend on building stronger relationships throughout Long Island and meeting more people who are as concerned about Green as we are.
